About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Leading Hand to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. In this role, you will report to the Mechanical Supervisor and work on a 2:2 roster (day and night shift).

Your focus will be on maintaining both surface and underground equipment, as well as managing personnel to improve safety, equipment and operational performance.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Prioritising resources and coordinating all work that arises over the course of the week.
  • Ensuring accurate completion and maintenance of CMMS (Pronto).
  • Regularly inspecting the existing Mechanical Assets and infrastructure to ensure it meets and continues to meet statutory and site requirements.
  • Carrying out a JHA and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for mechanical maintenance tasks.
  • Working alongside Mechanical Supervisor to Coordinate daily/weekly compliance to the work schedule.
  • Supporting and implementing all company policies, including Occupational Health & Safety, Indigenous Peoples, Employee Assistance, Discipline, Environmental.
  • Contributing to the improvement of the Engineering department policies and procedures.

About You

Our ideal candidate will have a mechanical maintenance background, including experience with fixed plant processing equipment and personnel leadership in the mining industry.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting).
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor certification.
  • C Class Driver’s Licence (manual).
  • Well-versed in using maintenance management systems.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
