About the Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an Occupational Health Nurse to join our Golden Grove operation in Western Australia. This site-based role reports to the Senior Health, Safety & Training Advisor and operates on an 8:6 roster.

Your focus will be on providing health care, medical support, and advice to site personnel.

This is a 12-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting pre-employment assessments, drug and alcohol tests, and exit medicals, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Delivering health surveillance for at-risk personnel (e.g. lead, noise, lung function).
  • Providing on-site medical treatment and first aid in line with procedures, legislation, and guidelines.
  • Managing injuries, workers’ compensation cases, and return-to-work plans with the Injury Management Coordinator and external providers.
  • Coordinating medical response plans, conducting risk assessments, and providing 24/7 on-call coverage as required.
  • Overseeing the medical clinic, including stock, equipment, and facility maintenance.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced nurse with exposure to working in remote areas or in a site-based nursing role.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in nursing.
  • Experience in triage, including the ability to assess and prioritise patient needs.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) competency.
  • Completion of an accredited course in drug and alcohol testing.
  • A current C-class manual driver’s licence.
